Classification of rubber moulds

Hits: 833 img

According to different mold structures and product production processes, rubber molds are divided into four common molds: press molding molds, die casting molds, injection molding molds and extrusion molding molds, as well as some special rubber molds for the production of special rubber products, such as inflatable molds, dipping molds, etc.

1. Press forming mould

Also known as ordinary die. The semi-finished rubber material mixed, processed into a certain shape and weighed is directly put into the mold, and then sent to the flat vulcanizer for pressurization and heating. The rubber compound is vulcanized and formed under the action of pressure and heating.

Features: the mold has the advantages of simple structure, strong universality, wide application range and convenient operation, so it occupies a large proportion in rubber molded products.

2. Die casting mold

Also known as transfer mold or extrusion mold. It puts the mixed rubber or rubber block semi-finished products with simple shape and certain limit into the die-casting die cavity, extrudes the rubber through the pressure of the die-casting plug, and makes the rubber enter the die cavity through the gating system for vulcanization and shaping.

Features: it is more complex than ordinary die. It is suitable for making thin-walled, long and easy to bend products that cannot be pressed or reluctantly pressed by ordinary die, as well as rubber products with complex shape and difficult to feed. The products produced by this mold have good compactness and superior quality.

3. Injection mold

It is to inject the pre heated rubber into the plastic state into the mold through the gating system of the injection mold.

Features: complex structure, suitable for large, thick wall, thin wall and complex shape products. High production efficiency, stable quality and automatic production.

4. Extrusion mold

The rubber profile semi-finished products with various section shapes are made through the forming die of the machine head to achieve the purpose of preliminary modeling, and then transported to the vulcanization tank for vulcanization or used as the preformed semi-finished rubber required by the die pressing method.

Features: high production efficiency, stable quality and automatic production.

Forming equipment

The molding method uses a flat vulcanizer. (steam vulcanizer: generally, the maximum pressure of saturated steam can reach 0.6 ~ 0.8MPa, and the vulcanization temperature is in the range of 158 ~ 168. Resistance wire heating plate and oil pressure plate vulcanizer)

Die casting method die casting machine is used.

The injection mold uses an injection machine. (the working pressure of the injection machine is generally 100 ~ 140MPa, the vulcanization temperature is 140 ~ 185, and the vulcanization time is 1 ~ 5 minutes)

Extrusion die uses extruder.
