Platinum vulcanizing agent, also known as platinum water, is a / b two-component. The catalyst is mainly platinum catalyst with chloroplatinic acid precious metal as the main raw material and active component, and the catalyst is colorless, transparent or light yellow liquid. It is an efficient catalyst for simultaneous catalytic curing of liquid rubber, compound (solid rubber) curing agent, polyurethane coating and silicone coating.

1. When using platinum catalyst, possible problems in raw materials and reaction system should be removed first. If the poison cannot be removed in the system, in this case, the best choice is to coat the substrate surface containing toxic substances with hydrogen containing silicone oil before vulcanization.

2. When vulcanizing additive fluid silicone rubber with platinum catalyst, first pay attention to controlling the vulcanization temperature to prevent the temperature from being too high, because platinum will precipitate slightly or even more seriously during high-temperature reaction, so the ambient temperature shall be strictly controlled during vulcanization.

3. During the vulcanization reaction, the catalyst shall be added to the material containing unsaturated bond, and the reactant containing Si-H shall be added to the vulcanization system, or the two reactants shall be fully stirred and mixed, and then the platinum catalyst shall be added.

4. It is better to have an excess of substances containing Si-H bond (hydrogen containing silicone oil). Because platinum catalyst also contains catalyst for dehydrogenation of Si-H bond material. The loss of Si - H bond is caused, but the ratio of substance containing Si - H bonds is much larger than that of bonded substances, resulting in the decrease of the elongation of silicone gel and the increase of hardness. It is generally controlled between 1.2 - 1.4, and is better for the ratio of silicone rubber between 1.5 and 1.8.
