It is easy to make silicone rubber molds, but it is difficult to choose high-quality silicone rubber molds. We usually need to be familiar with silicone rubber before we start making molds. As the name suggests, mold silicone rubber is specially used for manufacturing molds, because it has many advantages such as tasteless, non-toxic, tear resistance, high resistance, etc. it is an ideal material for manufacturing molds for all kinds of small and large-size objects. It has the characteristics of extreme temperature, high simulation accuracy, clear texture, long service life and so on.

Silicone rubber mould

1. Prepare and process the original model.

If the model is smooth and flawless, we can definitely make a perfect mold. However, if the original model has many weaknesses, it is difficult to make a good mold. What matters now is the quality of silica gel.

2. Fasten the frame model.

The joints of the frame must be sealed to prevent silicone leakage. Then, fix the model in the framework.

3. Metering and mixing.

Silica gel can meet all your needs. For condensed silicone rubber, the mixing ratio of two-part siloxane materials is generally 100:2 or 100:3. The mixture shall be fully stirred by electronic scale for measurement.

4. Casting mixture

One third of the mold is made of silica gel, which is slowly injected into the frame to ensure that the silica gel penetrates into every corner. After that, pour in the remaining silica gel.

5. Demoulding.

Take out the mold when the silica gel is completely cured (curing time: 4H ~ 6h). Finally, it is necessary to clean and trim the finished mold. At present, the operation has been completed. It is best to put into production after 24 hours, and keep a ventilated, cool and dry place.
