Vulcanization temperature is generally understood as the temperature required for crosslinking reaction between molecules in silicone rubber raw materials, that is, the temperature required for silicone rubber to change from raw materials without fixed shape to silicone rubber products with fixed shape. Vulcanization temperature has a considerable impact on the molding of silicone rubber products, which directly affects the production efficiency and quality of products. If the control is not good, the following problems are likely to occur.

1、 Problems easily occur when the vulcanization temperature of silicone products is too high

Too high curing temperature can easily lead to defects such as lack of rubber, small size, thick thickness, deformation, numbness, brittleness, easy cracking, and difficult edge removal. For silicone keys, it is also easy to cause high load. Another interesting phenomenon is that when the vulcanization temperature is too high, it is easy to have wind inclusion.

2、 Problems easily occur when the vulcanization temperature of silicone products is too low

The problems caused by too low vulcanization temperature are basically the opposite of those caused by too high vulcanization temperature. It is easy to cause the silicone rubber products to be small in size, thin in thickness, incomplete vulcanization, soft and other defects. For the silicone rubber keys, it is also easy to cause low load, black particles fall off and other defects. However, there are several problems similar to the high vulcanization temperature, such as difficult to remove the edges, wind wrapping, etc.

Conclusion: The curing temperature of silicone rubber products should be set at a reasonable range. Too high or too low will affect the quality of silicone rubber products during molding. Therefore, strict control must be carried out during production. The IPQC of the silicone product manufacturer should also be equipped with a meter to measure the mold temperature of each machine on time. If there is any abnormality, it should be immediately improved to minimize the defects caused by the curing temperature.
