Application of dimethyl silicone oil in latex products
The use of silicone oil in industrial life is very extensive, playing a very important role in both our industrial production and manufacturing. The isolation agent is an oily liquid of polyorganosilane, which must be emulsified and dispersed in water before use. If used in combination with other isolation agents, the effect is better. The commonly used types in the latex industry are as follows.
(1) Dimethyl silicone oil (also known as methyl silicone oil) has a relative density of 0.93-0.94, a freezing point of 60-65 ℃, a boiling point of>200 ℃, and a refractive index of 1.39-1.4. It is used as an isolating agent for latex products.
(2) Emulsified silicone oil is a water dispersible system made of silicone oil, which can be directly used as an isolating agent for latex products. At present, the commercially available products are 284 and 284P. If used in combination with mica powder, stone pine powder, etc. to make isolation liquid, it can be a very transparent product. Due to its non toxicity, it can be used in medical supplies that come into contact with the skin. In addition, it can also be used for defoaming, fiber waterproofing treatment, etc.
There are many isolation agents available, such as zinc stearate, hydrated silica, alumina, stone pine powder, starch, and soap, all of which can be used as isolation agents. There are often liquid isolation agents that are sold in aqueous solutions abroad, which can be directly used for product isolation. Generally, they are sold in liquid form by mixing soap with other substances.
