Application of room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber
Silicone rubber can be divided into room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber and high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber according to the vulcanization temperature. The difference between room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber and high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is mainly that it is based on small molecular weight polydimethylsiloxane as the base rubber, which can be vulcanized into an elastic body at room temperature or with slight heating under the action of crosslinking agents and catalysts. Room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is composed of base rubber, crosslinking agent, catalyst, filler, etc. Below is an introduction to the application of room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber:
(1) Construction industry. Used for bonding glass and metal curtain walls, roof sealing, door and window sealing, and bonding and sealing various water pools and tiles.
(2) The electronics industry. Encapsulation and infusion materials used for electronic and electrical components, capable of moisture resistance, earthquake resistance, impact resistance, temperature shock resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance.
(3) Mold. The excellent simulation and good demolding performance of silicone rubber make it widely used in the soft mold industry.
(4) Automobiles, ships, and aviation. Used as in-situ formed gaskets for automobiles, window seals, and anti corona for electronic and electrical connectors.
