Platinum Catalyst MY PC11-16 is a zero-valent platinum complex, chemically known as Platinum(0)-1,3-divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane, with the molecular formula C8H18OPtSi2 and a molecular weight of 381.48. Its CAS number is 68478-92-2. This product appears as a colorless transparent liquid with good dispersibility, primarily synthesized by the Karstedt or Ashby methods. 

This platinum catalyst features high activity and low addition amounts, exhibiting stable performance and high cost-effectiveness. A key advantage is its ability to inhibit side reactions that occur during Si-Vi and Si-H reactions, preventing the production of black substances and ensuring that no blackening or yellowing occurs during the reaction process. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for highly transparent products, achieving transparency comparable to similar foreign products from Japan, Europe, and the United States.

We can customize products with varying platinum content according to customer requirements, with regular content ranging from 1000ppm to 20000ppm.

The applications of MY PC11-16 are extensive. Firstly, it can be used as a vulcanizing agent and catalyst for molded and extruded silicone rubber, as well as for buffer silicone rubber. Secondly, it serves as a catalyst in the production of various silicone products, including addition potting glue, silicone rubber sheets, mold-making silicone rubber, pad printing silicone rubber, silicone resin, and silicone gel. Additionally, this catalyst is utilized in the synthesis of modified polyether silicone oil and amino silicone oil, as well as in various polyurethane coatings and silicone coatings as an auxiliary and defoamer.

Regarding packaging and storage, the product is available in 1kg and 5kg packages, which can be customized. It should be stored in a sealed container in a dark place at 20-30°C to maintain its catalytic activity and appearance for 12 months.

When using, avoid direct contact with hydrogen-containing silicone oil and inhibitors, and be sure to shake well before use. This platinum catalyst, with its superior performance, has become an indispensable material in the modern silicone rubber industry.
