How should liquid silicone be stored
Proper storage of silicone can ensure that the material quality of silicone remains unchanged, thereby improving the service life and accuracy of silicone. The storage of silicone mainly involves the following aspects:
1、 Storage sealing. Due to its high sensitivity and hydrophilicity, silicone is easily damaged when exposed to external influences. Therefore, the storage of silicone must be mainly sealed, avoiding contact with substances such as air, water, and temperature changes as much as possible. During storage, avoid exposing silicone to the atmosphere and do not mix it with other types of liquids. In addition, the storage environment of silicone is also crucial, and it should be avoided as much as possible from being stored in direct sunlight, damp places, or high temperature environments.
2、 Avoid the influence of high or low temperature on silicone. The storage temperature of silicone is generally between 10 ℃ and 300 ℃. If it exceeds this range, it will have a certain negative impact on the silicone material. When storing, it is important to choose a relatively stable temperature environment and avoid frequent cooling or heating to prevent liquid delamination or crystallization solidification of the silicone gel.
