High hydrogen containing silicone oil can be crosslinked to form a film at low temperature under the action of metal salt catalyst, and form a waterproof film on the surface of various substances. It can be used as a waterproof agent for various materials such as fabric, glass, ceramics, paper, leather, metal, cement, marble and so on, especially for fabric waterproof. In addition, it can be used as anti sticking and isolating agent and crosslinking agent of paper. It is an anti yellowing agent for high-temperature fluidized silicone rubber. The addition molding silicone rubber series products are used as crosslinking agent and can also be used to dilute silicone rubber ink.

In addition to the characteristics of dimethyl silicone oil, low hydrogen containing silicone oil can produce addition and crosslinking reactions because it contains active hydrogen. Its hydrosilylation reaction is used as the intermediate of the synthesis of modified silicone oil and the crosslinking agent of addition silicone rubber.
