After weighing the amount of compound and vulcanizing agent, the next thing to do is to add vulcanizing agent. It is recommended to follow the following steps.

1.      First, clean the open mill machine to ensure its cleanliness to prevent mixing with other impurities. Then adjust the roll distance of the open mill machine to the minimum, and put the rubber compound into the open mill machine for thinning. After the thinning is completed, the roll distance of the open mill machine shall be appropriately enlarged to make the rubber mix wrap evenly on the roll. The surface temperature of the rubber compound should be about 80 ℃.

2. Control the temperature of the compound at about 60 ~ 80 ° C by adjusting the roll distance and cooling water. Then putting the vulcanizing agent into the compound.

Notice

A. The vulcanizing agent should be evenly put into the compound, rather than concentrated in one place.

B. The delivery speed should not be too fast. The delivery speed is fast, and the vulcanizing agent is easy to fall down, but not easy to disperse into the compound, which will affect the performance of the compound.

C. The vulcanizing agent falling under the roll shall be put into the compound.

3. When the vulcanizing agent and vulcanizing accelerator are not visible, start cutting, twice on the left and right. To make the vulcanizing agent and vulcanization accelerator better dispersed into the rubber compound, it can be confirmed by observing the morphology of the vulcanizing agent and vulcanization accelerator: if it is mixed into the rubber after changing from solid to sticky silk, the mixing effect is good.

4. Take out the compound for thinning. During thinning, the roll distance of the rubber mixer shall be adjusted to the minimum; The number of thinning is 4 ~ 5.

The Flake must be produced according to the thickness required by the product molding. The whole process should be noted that the completion time should not be too long, otherwise the Mooney viscosity and physical properties will be reduced.
