What is the molding vulcanization process and what details need to be noted in the molding vulcanization process

Forming vulcanization process is the most commonly used process for preparing silicone products. Its preparation method is simple, the product quality is good, and it is the most convenient and fastest process in batch production.

1. Forming and vulcanization process - molding machine pressure

It refers to the set pressure of the molding vulcanization machine, which is controlled by a pressure gauge and a computer. Sufficient pressure can cause the mold to close, and the rubber material can be fully pressed into the mold, ending the vulcanization of the rubber. A small amount of water is generated to generate bubbles, and exhaust can control the product's bubbles. The rubber material has high hardness, poor flow, high selection pressure, high pressure, and is prone to squeezing the mold blade. The pressure is related to the shape and size of the mold. If the mold size is small, the pressure should also be reduced accordingly to prevent deformation of the mold and vulcanizing machine plate. When adjusting the pressure of the vulcanizing machine, the maximum pressure of the vulcanizing machine must not exceed the maximum pressure of the vulcanizing machine, otherwise it may damage the machine, etc. Non pressurization of empty molds (excluding injection molds) is an effective measure to protect the mold blade and extend the mold life.

2. Forming and vulcanization process - temperature control of the machine

Forming temperature: When the formula is fixed, the temperature is the foundation of vulcanization, and if the temperature is not enough, the rubber material cannot react; Excessive temperature leads to brittle deformation of the product; Usually, silicone is less than 170 degrees Celsius, and the curing speed is slow, requiring an extension of time; When the temperature is above 180 degrees, the curing speed is fast and the yield is high, but it is prone to mold stains, glossiness, product deformation, size reduction, thickness exceeding standards, and brittle hair edges.

3. Molding and vulcanization process - control molding and vulcanization time

Time is the most important process for silicone product manufacturers, and the length of vulcanization time directly affects the quality of the product. Short curing time, immature product, large deformation, easy whitening, and non durable product; If the time is too long, the product will experience excessive sulfur, resulting in a decrease in strength and hardness, leading to brittleness or surface adhesion. The relationship between temperature and time must be determined based on the thickness of the product and the type of rubber, and thick products must undergo long-term vulcanization at low temperatures. If the time after the mold is out is not enough, the product is not cooked and adheres to the mold, making it difficult to clean and clean the mold. It should be reshaped and vulcanized. Basically, the material can stick down. One of the biggest problems with molding is that employees adjust their machines, resulting in product waste.

4. Forming vulcanization process - operating speed

It refers to the operating speed of sulfur chemical adhesive and products. Rubber vulcanization is a chemical reaction. Rubber materials are vulcanized from the hot mold. For the first mock examination porous products, the shorter the distance from the first piece of glue to the last piece of glue, the better. Put the glue on the mold and immediately close it. Otherwise, mold dirt, hot mold, burr thickness, deformation and other abnormalities are likely to occur. When using this product, it is easy to use pneumatic assisted blow molding, but it will lower the temperature of the mold. If you are not proficient in operation, it is most likely that the mold temperature is getting lower and lower, leading to unfamiliarity with the product. Additionally, you need to adhere to the mold, which is the most likely problem for beginners. In the production of smooth rubber sheets, the influence of glue application speed, mold sealing speed, and mold opening on the quality of smooth surfaces is most obvious. Why do some products have strict appearance requirements and choose to hang the mold? One of the main principles is also here!

5. Forming vulcanization process - Product placement

Refers to the shape of prefabricated parts, which can be long bars, small squares, or circles. The thickness, length, and width of the compound must be close to the product. The closer the shape is to the product shape, the shorter the flow time in the mold, the shorter the flow distance, the thinner the wool edge, the less adhesive used, and the higher the product qualification rate.

6. Forming vulcanization process - Compound weight

The weight of the compound must be greater than the weight of the product, otherwise there will be a shortage of glue. But the more glue there is, the thicker the wool edge of the product and the larger the size. The weight of the compound is directly related to the shape of the compound. How to use the least amount of glue to produce the most reasonable shape without lacking glue is a reflection of the technical level of the molding personnel. The weight of the glue is sufficient, but the length is longer than the mold, and there will also be a lack of glue. The shape and weight of the glue are appropriate, but if you put it down, There will be one thin side and one thick side, and in severe cases, there will also be a lack of glue and hair thickness on one side. The shape of the adhesive material is appropriate and the total weight is appropriate, but uneven shear thickness and uneven filling of the adhesive can also lead to a lack of adhesive. When there is insufficient glue in the product, do not rush to intensify the glue. Instead, take a complete mold with burrs, check the weight of the product, and then check if the thickness of the product is uniform. Finally, decide whether to add the material. The technical content and experience of the molding foreman are very important!
