Precautions for Producing Silicone Buttons Using the Drop Glue Method

Manufacturers often utilize the drop glue method when producing silicone buttons, which involves silk screening, laser engraving, and adhesive dropping.

The adhesive dropping process entails combining epoxy resin and a curing agent, which is then dropped onto the surface of the silicone buttons for natural air drying. This process not only enhances the appearance of the buttons but also safeguards them from damage.

To ensure high-quality and exquisite products through the adhesive dropping process, the following precautions should be taken during production:

Clean the utensils used for the adhesive dropping process to prevent any defects such as ripples, pits, or impurities that may arise from using unclean tools.

Accurately proportion the epoxy resin and curing agent to avoid incomplete curing or excessively long curing times.

Maintain a suitable working environment, with a humidity level of around 69%. It is advisable to avoid carrying out the process during rainy weather, as high humidity can oxidize the adhesive’s surface. If necessary, an air dehumidifier can be employed to reduce humidity.

After production, place the silicone buttons in an appropriate location for natural air drying. They should be stored together in an environment with a humidity level ranging from 29% to 41%.
