Application of methyl long-chain alkyl silicone oil
Methyl long-chain alkyl silicone oil is mainly used for preparing lubricants and ointments, release agents, coating additives, cosmetics, and resin modification.
1. Application of lubricants and ointments
Methyl long-chain alkyl silicone oil has good lubrication and wear resistance. And can be used for a long time within the range of -50 ℃ -150 ℃. Aluminum is a metal that is difficult to lubricate with petroleum lubricants, and typically requires the addition of vinyl stearate as a boundary lubricant additive to form a special aluminum lubricant.
2. Application of liquid transmission fluid
Methyl long-chain alkyl silicone oil and α- A mixture of olefin oligomers can be formulated into a liquid transmission fluid with a wide temperature range and high flash point temperature, used in aircraft, military vehicles, and mechanical facilities in cold regions. Like methyl long-chain alkyl silicone oil and α- A transmission fluid composed of equal amounts of decane trimer, with a flash point of 215 ℃, a ignition point of 213 ℃, and a viscosity of 18cs at 25 ℃.
3. Release agents for plastic and rubber products
Methyl long-chain alkyl silicon is used as a release agent for plastic and rubber products. It is generally diluted to 2-10% concentration with toluene, industrial gasoline, etc. or mixed into aerosol or lotion for use. After demolding, plastic and rubber products can be printed, evaporated, hot pressed, and coated on their surfaces. However, it is difficult to print, evaporate, heat press, and paint on the surface of products that are demolded with general dimethyl silicone oil release agents.
4. Raw materials for cosmetics
Using long-chain alkyl modified silicone oil to prepare skincare products has the effect of keeping the skin moist, reducing symptoms of dry skin, and maintaining skin softness.
5. Plastic modification and coating additives
Methyl long-chain alkyl silicone oil has good compatibility with synthetic resins, and as an additive to various plastics, it can improve the boundary lubrication characteristics of plastic products. Additives used in coatings can improve pigment dispersion, leveling, and wear resistance.
