What to pay attention to when using silicone oil defoamers
Silicone defoamer is a white viscous lotion. It has a wide range of application fields and is increasingly valued by various industries. What should be noted when using silicone oil defoamers?
In actual use, adding a foaming solution of 1X10-6-100X10 ^ -6 to the silicone defoamer can achieve very good defoaming effect. Therefore, the defoamer should be diluted with water or solvent (or foaming solution can also be used) before use. Dilution not only makes it easy to adjust the amount added, but also improves the dispersion effect of defoamers.
There are four main methods for adding defoamers:
1. Pre mix the defoamer Jia Dao foaming solution with the method of foam suppression. Suitable for foaming in closed containers;
2. Continuous dripping method into foaming solution;
3. The spray blowing method is suitable for occasions where a large amount of foam is produced for a period of time;
4. The method of applying defoamer on the inner wall of a foaming liquid container is suitable for situations where the liquid level inside the container needs to be controlled.
