silicone oil used for oil-based release agents
1. Dimethylsilicone oil: widely used in industries such as rubber, plastic processing, and precision casting. Its anti adhesion during demolding increases with the increase of the molar mass of silicone oil, while low molar mass silicone oil has good spreading and surface affinity; Therefore, when using it directly, you can choose a dimethyl silicone oil with a viscosity of 100-3000CP (25 ℃) that combines both properties. Dilute it with a solvent to a volume fraction of 0.2% -2% before use. For rubber products with lower forming temperatures, dimethyl silicone oil with a viscosity of 100-1000CP (25 ℃) can be used. For fine castings and versatile materials such as gypsum and paper products with higher forming temperatures, dimethyl silicone oil higher than 1000CP should be used. The dilution solvent should be selected according to the model processing temperature. Low boiling solvents such as toluene, xylene, industrial gasoline, and trichloroethylene can be selected at a mold temperature of around 100 ℃. For high temperature applications such as precision casting, high boiling solvents such as mineral turpentine can be used.
