How to choose amino silicone oil?
We all know that amino silicone oil can be used for fabrics, but in fact, amino silicone oil has different ammonia values for seasonal silicone oil when used for different fabrics. This requires us to analyze the specific situation.
1. Cotton and blended knitted fabrics, as well as woven fabrics, are mainly soft to the touch, and can mainly choose amino silicone oil with an ammonia value of 0.6;
2. Polyester fabric, with a smooth feel as the main feature, can choose amino silicone oil with an ammonia value of 0.3;
3. Silk knitted and woven fabrics, with a smooth hand feel as the main focus and high requirements for gloss, mainly choose amino silicone oil with an ammonia value of 0.3, and mix with a smoothing agent to increase gloss;
4. And its blends require a soft, smooth, and elastic overall feel, with minimal color and light changes. Amino silicone oil compound products with 0.6 and 0.3 ammonia values can be selected, and some varieties can be compounded with smoothing agents to increase elasticity and gloss;
5. Sweater and cashmere fabrics have a higher overall feel than wool fabrics, and high concentration composite products can be selected;
6. Nylon socks, with a smooth feel as the main feature, choose high elasticity amino silicone oil;
7. Nylon Raschel blankets, acrylic fibers, and blended yarn are mainly soft and require high elasticity. Amino silicone oil with an ammonia value of 0.6 can be selected to meet the elasticity requirements;
8. Similar fabrics (such as linen and ramie) are mainly smooth, and amino silicone oil with an ammonia value of 0.3 is mainly selected;
9. Silk and artificial cotton are mainly soft to the touch, and amino silicone oil with an ammonia value of 0.6 can be selected;
10. Reducing alkali content fabric is mainly to improve the hydrophilicity of the fabric. Polyether modified silicone oil (CGF) can be chosen, which is made by the addition reaction of methyl hydrogenated silicone oil with polyethers such as polyethylene glycol and polypropylene glycol with unsaturated bonds at the end. However, the softness is poor. The new polyether modified silicone oil introduces reactive epoxy groups on the silicon oxide chain, which improves the texture and durability of the fabric.
