Ceramic refractory flame retardant silicone rubber
Ceramic refractory flame retardant silicone rubber
Product description
Ceramic refractory silicone rubber is a new type of composite material that can be vitrified at high temperature. It is quickly burned into a hard and complete shell at 500-1000 ℃ to ensure that wires and cables are not damaged in case of fire and play a solid role in smooth power and communication.
The protective effect of Ceramic refractory resistant silicone rubber can replace mica tape as the fire-resistant layer of cables. In particular, It can be used not only as a refractory layer, but also as an insulating layer in medium and low voltage fireproof wires and cables.
Main features
1. Self supporting ceramic body formed in flame
When the rubber material containing inorganic filler is exposed to the flame, the rubber will degrade or burn, and the degradation or combustion products will be left. These residues are usually non condensing or non self-supporting, or even broken into particles or powders because this has no fire protection effect. When the ceramic rubber with special design formula is exposed to the flame,(depending on the rubber variety and formula, the Vitrification occurs in the range of 500 ~ 800 ℃ or above), and sintered into porous self-supporting ceramic body, which can be maintained within a certain time (0.5 ~ 2H).Maintaining the integrity of the structure can give full play to the effect of "passive fire prevention" and win valuable time for fire safety.
2. It has excellent strength and good thermal shock resistance
The vitrified sintered body is relatively hard, with ceramic sound when knocking, and has certain flexural strength and dielectric strength. The flexural Strength of ceramic silicone rubber is much higher than that of general silicone rubber, and it increases obviously with the increase of temperature. Spray water into the high-temperature ablated specimen in the simulated fire fighting process, the sintered ceramic silicone rubber does not crack, showing good thermal shock resistance.
3. Halogen free, low smoke, low toxicity, self extinguishing, environmental protection
Ceramic silicone rubber can achieve flame retardant and self extinguishing effect without adding halogen flame retardant. Flame retardant UL94V-0. After being burned for a few minutes, the smoke will be completely cut off. In the next sintering process, there will be no smoke. The combustion of ceramic silicone rubber produces carbon dioxide, water and silicon dioxide, which are non-toxic substances.
4. Good electrical performance
The electrical properties of the ceramic silicone rubber with optimized formula:the volume resistivity before sintering is not less than 1015 Ω• cm, and with the increase of sintering temperature, the volume resistivity decreases. After burning at 1000 ℃ for 30min, the volume resistivity decreases to 107 Ω• cm.
5. Easy to process
The production equipment of ceramic silicone rubber compound is the same as that of general silicone rubber. The compound has good extrusion performance and molding performance. The silicone rubber wire and cable equipment can be directly used to extrude and vulcanize into wires and cables without adding equipment. The production process of fire-resistant cable is simplified and the cost is reduced.
