Used as a coating additive
Fluorinated silicone oil coatings have properties such as high temperature resistance, hydrophobicity, oil repellency, solvent resistance, and weather resistance. Applying it to anti fouling coatings for ocean ships, with better performance than self polishing coatings made of organic silicon, provides a new approach for developing non-toxic anti fouling coatings for ship bottoms; Protective coatings used for solar installations in desert areas can leverage their advantages of low surface energy and self-cleaning properties; Due to its low friction during film formation, it is used as a lubricant and protective coating for magnetic recording media, as well as for some optical instruments and equipment, such as cameras and lens protective coatings.

Used as a defoamer
Due to the lower surface tension of fluorinated silicone oil, especially long-chain perfluoroalkyl silicone oil, compared to other silicone oils, defoamers formulated from it are more effective in reducing the surface tension of various foaming systems and have better effects than other silicone oil defoamers. Both homopolymer and copolymer fluorinated silicone oils can be used as defoamers. Fluorosilicone oil defoamer can be applied in industries such as petroleum, textile, synthetic rubber and resin, coatings and ink, food processing and fermentation, as well as medical applications.
