Precautions for making silicone rubber molds

Using silicone raw materials to make molds is a common flipping process, and there are many precautions to be taken during the production process. The following are five common precautions:

1. Component B is a catalyst that is prone to moisture hydrolysis, so the lid should be tightly closed after use.

2. Once groups A and B are mixed, they undergo a chemical reaction;
 Start immediately, the viscosity gradually increases and cannot be stopped. To avoid waste, it should be prepared as needed according to the dosage. After preparation, it should be used immediately without delay.

3. The mix ratio of Group A and Group B is related to the speed of chemical reactions and the performance of the mold.
 The more B components there are, the faster the reaction, and the higher the strength and hardness of the product, but the toughness decreases accordingly.
 Therefore, precise weighing is required.

4. Before preparation, the A component material should be stirred evenly up and down before weighing.

5. The pouring method is suitable for relief molds, while the brushing method is suitable for the production of three-dimensional molds.
 The mold for casting relief sculptures should first produce frames that are 4-6CM longer and wider than the original length and width.
 The border should be flat and the inner surface should be smooth.
 Place the frame on a clean glass plate during pouring, and then place the original components in the frame, leaving a gap of 2-3CM on each side
