When the phenyl binding amount of phenyl / silicon is about 6%, it is called low phenyl silicone rubber, which has the best low temperature resistance and maintains flexibility at - 100 ℃. When the phenyl binding amount of phenyl / silicon is about 15% - 20%, it is also called medium phenyl silicone rubber, which has flame resistance, When the phenyl binding amount of phenyl / silicon is more than 35%, it is called high phenyl silicone rubber, which has excellent radiation resistance. Due to difficult processing and poor mechanical properties, the production and application of medium phenyl and high phenyl silicone rubber will be limited.

The synthesis method of methyl phenyl vinyl silicone rubber is obtained by the co hydrolysis and polycondensation of dimethyldioxosilane and methylphenyldioxosilane, or from the mixed ring polymerization method containing dimethylsiloxane link and methylphenylsiloxane link or diphenylsiloxane link, that is, after the co hydrolysis of dimethyldioxosilane and methyldioxosilane, The mixed ring was prepared by catalytic cracking and copolymerized with octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane and tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane.
