Under normal circumstances, at room temperature of 25 ℃, the operation time of liquid silicone rubber is 30-40 minutes and the curing time is 3-5 hours. Liquid silicone rubber here refers to silicone rubber that can be self vulcanized at room temperature, also known as two-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. Room temperature vulcanized liquid silicone rubber

RTV silicone rubber has standard curing time, but some customers want to accelerate the forming time of liquid silicone rubber. How to improve it? Firstly, the curing of silicone rubber can be accelerated by increasing the content ratio of silicone rubber curing agent. Condensation mold silicone rubber can accelerate the curing of silicone rubber by increasing the proportion of curing agent from 2% to 3% (it is not recommended to add more than 4%). For addition molding silicone rubber, the manufacturer can be contacted to improve the content of platinum catalyst in silicone rubber. On the other hand, customers can directly improve the curing time by heating and baking.

Another kind of injection molding silicone rubber can be cured only in a high temperature environment. The silicone rubber is directly extruded into the metal mold and then cured at high temperature to make it a solid state.
