The film should not be too thick, and thin film should be pasted layer by layer to the required thickness. Generally, the thickness of hard film is 0.1 to 1.5 mm, while the thickness of soft film does not exceed 4 to 5mm to avoid bubbles in the film. Vulcanization bonding can be divided into two types: hot vulcanization and cold vulcanization. Hot vulcanization bonding is the process of bonding a metal part with a film under a certain pressure and temperature to complete the bonding between the rubber material and the metal. Cold vulcanization bonding is the process of using an adhesive to naturally vulcanize at room temperature through a certain amount of pressure, allowing the vulcanized rubber to bond with the metal. Pressure is an indispensable condition for the bonding process, and the magnitude of pressure and temperature depend on the product and its formula.

In summary, to achieve the bonding between silicone rubber and metal, there are four steps to follow: metal surface, joint, adhesive, and bonding method. However, silicone product factories should pay attention to the following points when implementing it. For example, if the metal surface treated by chemical methods is not treated in a timely manner, it will be contaminated by dust, temperature, and other pollutants and oxidized rust. Additionally, when applying adhesive, it is required to be uniform and have a certain amount of adhesive, The ambient temperature during adhesive application should be controlled between 15~35 ℃, and the relative humidity should be below 70% to allow the solvent to completely evaporate and avoid surface dew.
