Inorganic silica gel is a highly active adsorbent material that is insoluble in water and any solvent, and does not react with any substance except strong bases and hydrofluoric acid. Organosilicon adhesive, on the other hand, is a compound containing Si-C bonds that can be dissolved in water and white oil.
